This is a serious, full-system conversion — not a drop-in part. The DSX Conversion transforms your pistol into a race-ready platform with extensive structural machining of the slide and a matched compensator/barrel assembly hand-fitted by Dave, our owner and master gunsmith. Because this is a full conversion, the service requires the complete build and includes Overhaul & Fit for safe disassembly/reassembly and insured return shipping.
Compatible Platforms
5" full dustcover models in 9mm / .40 / .45 ACP (examples: STI, Rock Island, Prodigy Gen 1 5", and similar full-dustcover 1911/2011 slides).
If you’re unsure about fitment, contact us first and include clear photos of the firearm — we’ll confirm eligibility.
Not Eligible
4.25" models
Prodigy Gen 2 (5" Gen 2 slides with internal lightening)
Classic 1911-style scallop slides

Important Notes
This is a permanent, structural modification — it is not reversible.
The compensator/barrel are precision hand-fit to your firearm and are not intended as drop-in replacements for other guns.
Cerakote is included for the slide and comp; if other parts are coated with PVD/DLC/TiN and you want them retained or re-coated, add the appropriate surface treatment at checkout.
All machined and coated areas are subject to normal wear over time, particularly in high-contact zones.
We perform final function testing and inspection before return.
